The Head Spa offers a unique, refreshing experience that’s new to the U.S., using only luxury ingredients and products in every treatment. Our services are designed to be safe for most clients, though some exceptions may apply. What are the benefits of a Head Spa?
One of the primary benefits of a Head Spa is deep relaxation. There’s something uniquely soothing about having someone massage your scalp, transporting you to a realm of calm and comfort. At Mercer Head Spa, we go beyond traditional techniques by incorporating pressure-point massages and gua sha tools, which enhance your experience and stimulate your scalp in a rejuvenating way.

In addition to relaxation, Head Spa treatments can help ease tension, calm stress, alleviate TMJ discomfort, reduce migraines, help stimulate hair growth, reduce hair loss, and improve overall well-being. Many clients find that our treatments not only provide relief but also promote a sense of renewal and balance.

As for now, we have gift cards available for purchase to ensure that you receive priority booking when we do open!

It depends on the length of service you booked. So if you are booked for a 60 minute session for example, please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes before and be in our spa for the full time.

At the start of your service, we’ll ask whether you prefer a light, medium, or strong massage. If you feel the need to adjust the pressure during your session, please let your Head Spa therapist know, and they’ll be happy to make the adjustment.

The length of your scalp massage will depend on the service you booked and the duration of it. Refer to our menu options above for more details.

Yes! We have one room dedicated to 2 people who want to be in the same room, otherwise, please select, 'booking for multiple people' then select the type of head spa you would like in the online booking portal.

If you would like to book for multiple people in separate rooms, please book them separately! If you have questions, please email or call us.

We include a basic blow dry/dry off as part of our head spa service. This will remove excessive moisture from your hair, this will ensure you don't leave our studio with dripping wet hair.

Blow outs, Straightening, Waves, Styling, etc. are currently add-on services that you will have to add at the time of booking.

All of our ingredients are safe for any kind of treated hair! However, if you had recently done any kind of chemical services within a week before your Head Spa appointment, there is a chance that the color/keratin may lift during our detoxing process. Therefore, we recommend customers to wait at least a week after any kind of hair treatment before receiving a Head Spa.
We also recommend waiting at least a week after having a Head spa before doing any kind of chemical services. You wouldn’t want to apply chemicals to a freshly cleaned scalp!

Our specialists are experienced in working with all hair types—whether thin and fragile, thick and coarse, wavy, curly, porous, or even bald. However, the focus of the Head Spa is on the scalp, not the hair itself. As long as you have a scalp, we can provide a treatment! The only requirement is ensuring we have proper access to it. Unfortunately, we cannot perform services on clients with extensions, braids, or sew-ins, as these block access to the scalp and pores.

Our Head Spa uses safe and clean products; therefore, it is completely safe for pregnant customers. However, some guests may be concerned about being exposed to certain herbs and oils such as lavender while they are expecting. Therefore, it would be best to consult your doctor to see if anything you should avoid.
Another concern would be that we require guests to lay completely flat on your back during the whole duration of the service. If this is something you are unable to do, then it may be best to wait until after the delivery before trying the head spa.

Once in the Head Spa room, all cell phone usage will be prohibited. Please set your phone to silent mode and set it aside before starting the appointment. If you do wish to record the treatment for social media purposes, please let us know in advance. We are more than happy to facilitate this for you. Please don’t forget to mention us @MercerHeadSpa!

You can purchase a gift certificate on our website! Simply select the amount and check out. Please specify and provide the information on whether you would like it to me mailed or emailed to your recipient at check out.

Yes! We offer free parking in a covered garage located directly behind the spa, with two spaces reserved with signage specifically for Mercer Head Spa. Additional parking is available in the garage, subject to availability, and there’s also plenty of street parking nearby!

The garage entrance is around the corner on 27th right next to Allister Restaurant and bar. Once you are inside the Retail garage, please drive to the far left back corner where you will find a doorway that takes you to the Head Spa.

Rescheduling:

• If you need to reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 12-hour notice. This allows us to accommodate other clients who may be waiting for an appointment. Rescheduling requests made less than 12 hours will be considered late cancellation and will have their deposit forfeited.

Cancellation:

• Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time. If a cancellation is made within this period, we will be able to reschedule your appointment without any fee.
• Cancellations made with less than 48-hour notice will have their deposit forfeited or for gift card holders will incur a 50% cancellation fee, which will be deducted from the value of your gift card.
• If a deposit has been paid for the appointment, it will be forfeited in the event of a late cancellation (less than 48-hour notice).

No-Show Policy:

• If you do not arrive for your appointment within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, it will be considered a no-show.
• In the event of a no-show, 100% of the service fee will be deducted from the value of your gift card. If a deposit has been paid, it will be forfeited.
• For no-shows, the full payment, less any deposit, will be deducted from your nominated account.

These policies are designed to ensure that we can manage our time and resources effectively, providing each client with the full attention and care they deserve. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.

To ensure you have the most relaxing and enjoyable experience, we ask that you dress comfortably as you’ll be changing into one of our provided spa tops. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early for your appointment.

For the best experience, we recommend refraining from using hair products and avoiding caffeine and heavy meals on the day of your treatment, as these can interfere with your ability to fully relax.

Additionally, consider unplugging from electronic devices before your appointment to fully immerse yourself in the serene spa environment. This will help you disconnect from daily stresses and focus on rejuvenating both your mind and scalp.
